PICTURE: Odunlade Adekola Shows Off His Kids

To many lovers of Yoruba movie industry, the name Odunlade Adekola is like what Omotola Jalade Ekeinde or Genevieve Nnaji mean to Nollywood. No wonder he is one of the highest paid actors in that sector of the Nigerian film industry.

Apart from being an actor, Odun, as he is well known by fans, is also a Glo ambassador.

He has also had his share of romantic scandals since gaining fame some years ago. Not too many people know that the Abeokuta, Ogun State-based actor is married with kids.

We got hold of a picture showing Odun having fun with his two sons. The children took after him as the boys are replica of Odunlade Adekola also known as Sunday Dagboru.

'Oga at the top' movie Finally Out

Call it the director’s creativity or mischief, the movie, Oga at the top, is out. Quite similar to the viral ‘Oga at the top’ quote, the movie features popular Nollywood actor, Nkem Owoh, also known as Osuofia. Although the viral quote stopped trending on Twitter after a week of dominance, Nigerians put their creativity to test as they made T-shirts, mugs, songs and jokes about the error made by the Lagos State Commandant of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps, Obafaiye Shem, during an interview on Channels Televison.

Efforts to reach Osuofia proved futile as his mobile phone was switched off when Saturday Beats tried to reach him. He did not also reply to a text message sent to his phone.

Wizkid to return to former music label, EME

If everything goes according to plan, Wizkid will soon be returning to his former music label, EME Music Group, this is according to a reliable industry source. The source revealed to me exclusively that Wizkid and EME bosses have been going back and forth for the last couple of weeks through their lawyers trying to agree on new terms of them working together again.

"Wizkid leaving EME was just his way of pushing the bosses at the label to take him seriously and increase his earning percentage. When he joined EME he wasn't a star but then he became a mega star and was making a lot of money for the label and they still didn't increase his earning percentage so he took a walk. Now they are working on a new contract that will favour Wizkid." The source said
I hear in the new contract being drafted, EME will not take a dime from Wizkid's international deals. When they start working together again.

In the interview, Tunde Bakare said if the devil were to become a Pastor now, Nigerians will attend his church.

The former CPC Vice Presidential candidate gave a big blow to Progressive Governors of the proposed APC (All Progressive Party) describing them as corrupt bunch of people.
Read the interview excerpt below:

Describe the progressives who formed the All Progressive Congress (APC).
“If the devil becomes a Pastor, Nigerians will attend his church, because they don’t know the true church and they cannot distinguish it from the synagogue of Satan.
Some of these governors are far richer than their states, because they are looting their states dry” said Pastor Bakare.

Bloggers Want To Destroy My Relationship With Tiwa – Fiance Teebillz

Since Teebillz and Tiwa got engaged, after denying over and over again that they were in a relationship, new gist sprung up that Teebillz already had two kids from a woman based abroad, with pictures to prove it.
Well, here’s what Teebillz has to say about his love children rumour:
“I wonder why some jobless people want to destroy my relationship. Since I proposed to Tiwa, these sets of destroyers have been on my neck. Without me granting them interviews, they fabricate all kind of lies about our union. Some would even go to the extent of quoting me, even when they never got to talk to me. It’s all a lie. I have never been married and I don’t know why and where they got the pictures from. Rumour mongers and bloggers especially, are beginning to show how inexperienced they are on this job. 22-year-old Nigerian caught with 1.3kg hard drugs

A 22-year-old Nigerian, Jude Ejikonye Ilechukwu who resides in Thailand was recently apprehended by men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLE, with 1.295kg of substance discovered to be methamphetamine. Ilechukwu was arrested at the international wing of the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos.
The drug which was concealed inside his luggage, was detected during the screening of passengers on Ethiopian Airline at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The MMIA Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Hamza Umar, said the drug was carefully hidden in the suspects’ luggage.
Umar said: “Like several factory modes of drug concealment, we had to practically cut the bag open to detect the drugs.
“Ordinarily, when you open the bag, you will not see the drug.
“We found two brown parcels of drugs weighing 1.295kg.”
According to Ilechukwu, he was lured into the drug deal by a friend he met in Thailand.
In his words: “I am a business man. I relocated to Thailand last year where I buy goods and send to Nigeria.

“It was in Thailand that I met a man who introduced me into drug business. He gave my number to his partner in Lagos who lodged me in a hotel.
“They made me to contribute N750,000 as my contribution and promised me a handsome reward on arrival in Thailand.
“My focus was on the profit that will accrue to me. It was when I was arrested that I realised I had made a big mistake.”
The suspect attended Okija Community Primary School and Okija Grammar School, Anambra State before he started business.
The Chairman/Chief Executive officer of NDLEA, Ahmadu Giade, said that the Agency will investigate all cases and bring drug culprits to justice.
Giade said; “The Agency is prepared to bring drug barons to justice. Our target is to reduce the drug problem to the barest minimum.”
It was confirmed that the suspect will soon be charged to court.

I will write more books to expose corruption in Nigeria – El-Rufai

A former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mallam Nasiru El-Rufai, has vowed to roll out more inspirational and political books that will expose corruption and promote piety in public office.
The former Minister firmly and confidently disclosed that his last book, entitled ‘The Accidental Public Servant, was motivated by the need to instill transparency and honesty in governance.
Speaking at a book presentation in Lagos on Monday as organised by the Save Nigeria Group (SNG), el-Rufai, however, warned those who may have reservations about the contents of the 700-paged work to write a rejoinder, instead of trying to castigate him.

While throwing some darts at those condemning his work, he vowed to write more books cataloguing his sojourn in government, saying the present one is just a tip of the iceberg.
Pioneer Chairman, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, had in separate occasions faulted some of the details contained in the book as well as the motive of the writer.
To Ribadu, there exists what he termed a “huge integrity deficiency” in former minister’s book, stating that el-Rufai was wrong to have written about the EFCC as he knew next to nothing about its operations throughout their stint in government.
On his part, the former vice president dismissed the book as nothing more than a work of fiction, as he argued that aspects that catalogued his official dealings in government were inaccurate.
Abubakar, in a statement made available to newsmen in the wake of the allegations contained in the book, stated that el-Rufai was writing alleged fiction for self-glorification at the expense of truth.
Reacting to the barrage of criticism trailing the presentation of the book, el-Rufai stated that he had no other motive for undertaking to write the book other than the need to ensure transparency in the governance of the country.
Lamenting the spate of secrecy in government, el-Rufai said, “Governance of this country must move away from what it is. It must be open for all to see. Governance must be transparent. It is unfortunate that since I have written this book, politicians have been ascribing various motives for the move which are from what was intended.”
He however admonished youth in the country to be more involved in political matters, despite the failure of government to take care of their economic challenges.
Earlier in his speech, the chief host and Convener of the SNG, Pastor Tunde Bakare praised el-Rufai for undertaking to write the book, saying with such efforts, he has defined a workable compass for the problems plaguing the country to be solved.
“God positioned el-Rufai to be where he was at that time, so that he will later expose the workings of government. With the coming of this book, friends have become enemies, enemies have become friends. Anyway, if anybody is angry with the contents of the book, he should write his own,” Bakare stated.
